Bitvis rätt fin prosa med symbolism och metaforer, som inbjuder analys och reflektioner. Har läst boken två gånger och tycker att den är rätt seg och jobbig. Det finns dock i min mening mycket bättre prosa, exempelvis Frankenstein som jag lite tycker påminner om detta sett till tema och utförande. Och det finns mer tillgänglig och givande postkolonial litteratur att läsa.
